Why The Stuffed Eskimo?

It all started many years ago

In fact, one score (minus two years, three months, and five days... approximately) ago, the stuffed eskimo came into existence.

she wasn't originally called the stuffed eskimo. in fact, to most people, she is known as madeleine, but she was christened the stuffed eskimo by a dear friend.

Then, late one night, a couple years ago...

the stuffed eskimo (SE) and imaginary ellipses (IE) were sleeping on the floor on mattresses. They had been reading Calvin and Hobbes. Inspired by the great friendship and conversations Calvin and Hobbes had, Imaginary Ellipses mused that SE & IE were like Calvin & Hobbes... The only question was, who was the stuffed one. Stuffed Eskimo raised her hand, and thus received the Stuffed.

A little later, IE mused that it would be strange if Madeleine were actually an eskimo, who lived in a cold frozen igloo, and ate fish*. And it would be strange if everything, Madeleine's family, the Imaginary Ellipses, everything was a figment of Madeleine's imagination.

*(although the stuffed eskimo doesn't like fish in real life)

And thus

Madeleine became the Stuffed Eskimo. And the Imaginary Ellipses is imaginary because, of coures, the eskimo imagined her.
