“Domo ([Japanese characters cut]) Domo-kun) is the mascot of Japan‘s NHK television station, appearing in several 30 second stop-motion sketches shown as station identification during shows. In 2006 his best friend Mibz, a talking hand, killed him.”

He is also very awesome.
“Domo-kun ([Japanese characters]) is a small brown open-mouthed monster hatched from an egg who lives with a wise old rabbit underground. He really, really likes TV and also enjoys rocking out to Guitar Wolf.”
You can also wear Domokun,
make a Domo box,
and even use him as your desktop background
Adolf Hitler was an aspiring artist, and spent a good number of years painting postcards. He apparently painted and sketched quite a bit. He even applied for art school, but was turned away. His first self portrait is up for auction.

I have recently realized that many of you would probably like to know what I do when I’m not in my own head/online/stranded on a desert.
In light of that, here is a bullet point list of my schedule next week. With some random stuff from last week thrown in to make it more interesting. :) . Along with lots of very awesome (and probably very supercilious) paragraph-ic commentary.
There will be a game night on the 21st of March, Saturday, 7pm-10pm.
We’ll be playing Risk, if we get a full set, or otherwise just having fun. You can bet we’ll probably end up playing Prison Tower/Stalk the Lantern.
You are invited. But you must provide your own transport. (I.e. we won’t be picking you up from, say, the US ;) )
As usual, you have to RSVP. As far as getting the RSVP to me, you may use whatever method you find works for you.
Game night is no longer, officially, ‘Game Night’, as my mom claims that makes her feel like it’s a big deal and she has to do something. So if I just say, “Hey! Can I Have People Over this Saturday?” That’s okay, even if it’s a lot of people.

But when the Rabbit actually took a watch out of its waistcoat-pocket, and looked at it, and then hurried on, Alice started to her feet, for it flashed across her mind that she had never before seen a rabbit with either a waistcoat-pocket, or a watch to take out of it, and burning with curiosity, she ran across the field after it, and fortunately was just in time to see it pop down a large rabbit-hole under the hedge.

Today I went to the optometrist’s.
Why? Long story short, apparently my vision has gotten worse; while in England it became clear that Jack (who used to have slightly less than perfect vision) could see better than me. So we came back and, of course, scheduled an appointment.
Today The Royal Fly Killer, Rock and I went to Menlyn to the optometrist’s, where it became clear that I needed glasses.
As the title suggests, I used to have better than perfect vision. I am now near-sighted. My right eye at -0.75, and my left at -1.00.
I (and the optometrist and my mother) picked out two pairs of glasses: a thick brown rimmed pair, and a rimless pair with pink on the sides. I’ll get them in a week or so.
