if you throw a penny off a skyscraper and it hits someone, can they die?
The Mythbusters tested this myth and proved that a penny will not go fast enough to kill somebody.
The Typeface Memory Game looks brilliant.
Basically, it’s a board game, similar to memory, but you must match “A”s from a selection of 25 different typefaces.
Which is absolutely brilliant. Because not only would it be immensely fun, but it would also train one’s eyes to spot the subtle differences between different typefaces.
And who doesn’t need that skill?

JibeNow, the social networking site for Christian homeschoolers, has opened a competition for a new logo.
When I sat down to try and design a new logo for JibeNow, I first looked up the definition of jibe.
There are two meanings of jibe. First, to match: be compatible, similar or consistent; coincide in their characteristics;
And second, A jibe is a sailing maneuver where a sailing vessel turns its stern through the wind, such that the wind direction changes from one side of the boat to the other.
The first definition is pretty easy to understand. When something, say ideas, jibe, they are similar, they are compatible.
The second definition is probably less meaningful if you’ve never sailed. For a sail boat to move, wind must be pushed into it’s sails. To turn around, the wind must push from the other side of the sails. There are two basic ways of changing course.
The first, is to “come about”, which is a slow, simple, easy, safe way of turning around.
The other option, to “jibe”, is a faster, more difficult, more risky action. When a sailor jibes, it must be a smooth, concise, well-planned and well-carried out operation, otherwise people can get knocked out and knocked off the boat. But there are many times when the leisurely and simple is not an option. There are times when the boat must be and can only be turned around quickly.
And that’s why I chose to echo the silhouette of a windsurfer, a small, simple sail boat.

You’d have to fly every day for the next 26,000 years to die in a crash (during which time you’d have died 20 times over driving to the airport).
