Welcome to the illustrious world of the teen-aged being.
Guess what!
Actually, there’s no surprise or any neat things to say. Cause you’re just getting older, like you do every other day of your life…
But either way, I think it’s pretty cool that you’re having a dance to celebrate your birth. :)
the family sat and ate dinner
happy birthday roderick, read the cake
it took a couple tries to blow the candles out
Hope you had an awesomely fun day.
And you can expect some “post” sooner than later.
Hope you enjoyed your fifth year & enjoy being five.
This year for my birthday, I don’t need more stuff, but more than a billion people need water. Let’s make a difference.
Go to my birthday campaign on charity:water, & let’s give someone clean, fresh water.
Currently, I have stuff. I have stuff I never use, & I’ll be honest: I don’t need more stuff.
Some people don’t have water. They don’t worry about stuff, because they don’t have water.
This year, I don’t want stuff, people need water.
I’m turning 17 years old, and instead of asking for gifts, I’m asking for money to help give someone water. To help build freshwater wells for people in developing nations.
A billion people in the world are living without clean water – but how much are they really living? Millions contract deadly diseases from contaminated water. 45,000 people will die this week alone. The lucky ones won’t, but still walk hours each day to get dirty water to give to their families.
My birthday wish this year is not for more gifts I don’t need; it’s to give clean and safe drinking water to some of the billion living without it. I want to make my birthday matter this year.
please note: Because of charity: water’s unique model, 100% of all donations go directly to direct water projects costs, and each donation is “proved” and tracked to the village it helped when projects are complete.
Even if you don’t donate, or can’t donate & if you do donate, remember Isaiah 41.17, The poor and homeless are desperate for water, their tongues parched and no water to be found. But I’m there to be found, I’m there for them, and I, God of Israel, will not leave them thirsty.
& pray for them. Pray that they receive both water to nourish their bodies & a living water so that they’ll never thirst again.
Happy Fourth birthday to the rock, and happy unnumbered birthday, to the memory bank.
You guys are so thoughtful!
Thanks (everyone) for all the birthday wishes.
Also, thanks to everyone here in the US – it’s been a lot of fun.
